It’s finally here.
The 2020 NFL Draft is hours away and the anticipation behind this draft is definitely at an all-time high. The unknown behind this draft where all the teams are working from the comfort of their houses and the potential technical errors that could come with it plus the unknown of what will happen behind Cincinnati and Washington could make this one of the wildest first-rounds in draft history.
As I’ve done for each mock draft, I’ll be controlling all 32 teams through the Draft Network’s Mock Draft Machine and once again I will not have any trades involved in this mock draft, I’ll leave that to Alex Hale and his mock drafts.
1) Cincinnati Bengals
QB Joe Burrow, LSU: All that’s left is for Goodell to officially announce this pick.
2) Washington Redskins
EDGE Chase Young, Ohio State: Washington is taking calls but they would have to be blown away to pass up on the best player in the draft.
3) Detroit Lions
CB Jeffery Okudah, Ohio State: The draft essentially starts here and while Detroit would like to slide back, they stay here and take Okudah to help upgrade their secondary.
4) New York Giants
OT Jedrick Wills, Alabama: The Giants need to upgrade their offensive line for second-year quarterback Daniel Jones but could also go defense with this pick.
5) Miami Dolphins
OT Tristan Wirfs, Iowa: As of Wednesday afternoon, the rumors are that Miami is trying to leapfrog New York to grab a tackle.
6) Los Angeles Chargers
QB Tua Tagovailoa, Alabama: The Chargers find their quarterback going forward and with Tyrod Taylor in place, Tagovailoa can get healthy and prepare to take the reigns when ready.
7) Carolina Panthers
DL Derrick Brown, Auburn: Carolina with a new head coach and needing to replenish their defensive talent go with Brown.
8) Arizona Cardinals
LB Isaiah Simmons, Clemson: Arizona goes linebacker to add among the defensive talent already established.
9) Jacksonville Jaguars
CB CJ Henderson, Florida: The Jags stay in-state to upgrade their secondary.
10) Cleveland Browns
OT Andrew Thomas, Georgia: Cleveland stays at 10 and gets their rumored top tackle on the board.
11) New York Jets
OT Mekhi Becton, Louisville: The Jets get Becton who may or may not slip due to his failed drug test at the combine.
12) Las Vegas Raiders
WR CeeDee Lamb, Oklahoma: A new city and a new potential superstar in the making for the Raiders offense.
13) San Francisco 49ers (via Indianapolis)
WR Jerry Jeudy, Alabama: San Francisco wants to move back but can’t pass on having a legit #1 receiver option.
14) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
OT Josh Jones, Houston: Tampa has all the offensive firepower to compete for a Super Bowl but need to upgrade their offensive line.
15) Denver Broncos
WR Henry Ruggs III, Alabama: Denver has been linked to the Crimson Tide speedster for quite some time.
16) Atlanta Falcons
DL Javon Kinlaw, South Carolina: With no cornerback worthy of this selection, Atlanta looks to upgrade their defensive front.
17) Dallas Cowboys
S Xavier McKinney, Alabama: Even though they added fellow Crimson Tide safety HaHa Clinton-Dix in free agency, shouldn’t let them shy away from adding another talented safety like McKinney.
18) Miami Dolphins (via Pittsburgh)
QB Jordan Love, Utah State: Love over Herbert? One former NFL GM said that just could be the case.
19) Las Vegas Raiders (via Chicago)
QB Justin Herbert, Oregon: Jon Gruden has had the itch to draft a quarterback since returning to the league, he finally cures that itch.
20) Jacksonville Jaguars (via Los Angeles Rams)
S Grant Delpit, LSU: Jacksonville adds another talented defensive back to pair with C.J. Henderson who they selected with the 9th pick.
21) Philadelphia Eagles
WR Justin Jefferson, LSU: Alshon Jeffery hasn’t been worth the money they’ve invested so Howie Roseman looks to give Carson Wentz a new weapon on the outside.
22) Minnesota Vikings
EDGE K’Lavon Chaisson, LSU: The run on LSU Tigers continues as the Vikings add a pass rusher with Everson Griffen no longer there.
23) New England Patriots
WR Denzel Mims, Baylor: With no quarterback here worth the reach here, Bill Belichick adds a receiver for whoever will be the quarterback once they return to the field.
24) New Orleans Saints
CB Jeff Gladney, TCU: Marshon Lattimore is holding down one side of the defense but New Orleans needs help on the opposite side.
25) Minnesota Vikings
CB Kristian Fulton, LSU: Vikings go back to Louisiana to upgrade their cornerback position which all went out the door in free agency.
26) Miami Dolphins (via Houston)
RB De’Andre Swift, Georgia: Miami caps off their first-round by adding Swift, who is the most complete running back in the draft.
27) Seattle Seahawks
OL Isaiah Wilson, Georgia: Russell Wilson signed a long-term deal a year ago, Seattle should do everything to keep him upright through his prime.
28) Baltimore Ravens
LB Patrick Queen, LSU: The sixth LSU Tiger to come off the board, which would tie Miami’s record from 2004.
29) Tennessee Titans
EDGE Yetur Gross-Matos, Penn State: Tennessee’s defense was a major factor in getting them to the AFC Championship, adding someone off the edge will only make it better.
30) Green Bay Packers
WR Jalen Reagor, TCU: Green Bay needs to find someone who can complement Davante Adams in the wide receiver room.
31) San Francisco 49ers
C Cesar Ruiz, Michigan: San Francisco could go defense here but they need to upgrade the interior of their offensive line and Ruiz was ranked higher than any available cornerback.
32) Kansas City Chiefs
RB Jonathan Taylor, Wisconsin: Kansas City adds Taylor to their deep running back room as they look to repeat as Super Bowl champions.
