More Moves to Come

  • After roster cut-downs, teams begin to shape their practice squads after players clear waivers. This season, practice squad rosters increase from 10 players to 16 players. Teams can have up to six veterans on a practice squad.
  • The Browns currently have five tight ends on the roster after cut-downs: Austin Hooper, David Njoku, Harrison Bryant, Pharaoh Brown and Stephen Carlson. Something is bound to shake out with the tight end room because it seems unlikely that they will carry five headed into the season. If Andrew Berry finds a player on the waiver wire or likes a free agent, one of the tight ends will probably be first to go.
