The Cleveland Browns will once again be without four key contributors but several other starters were listed on the final injury report prior to Thursday’s matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Greedy Williams (shoulder), Kevin Johnson (liver), and Mack Wilson (knee) will miss their second straight game while they continue to recover from injuries sustained in training camp. Rookie linebacker Jacob Phillips (knee) will also be out for Cleveland after sustaining his injury during the season opener against Baltimore this past Sunday.
Three starting offensive linemen were listed as questionable as Jedrick Wills (shin), Jack Conklin (ankle/finger), and JC Tretter (knee) all are dealing with minor injuries. It’s expected that all three should be available as Conklin did some “projected” limited work in Wednesday’s practice. Wills and Conklin were limited during the short week.
Jarvis Landry (hip) and Olivier Vernon (abdomen) are also listed questionable for Thursday’s game. Landry did not practice on Tuesday but if it’s anything like training camp, the veteran receiver was practicing every other day as he continues to rehabilitate his surgically repaired hip he had operated on during the offseason. Vernon’s injury is unclear at the moment.
For Cincinnati, three starters will be out for Thursday’s matchup.
Defensive tackles Geno Atkins (shoulder) and Mike Daniels (groin) along with safety Shawn Williams (calf) were all ruled out while starting guard Xavier Su’a-Filo was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury that will force him to miss at least the next three games for Cincinnati.
